Photography Resources

Resources are so essential to have when starting your photography business! There are so many things to learn from other fellow creatives and a lot of it is FREE! From workshops, to gear information, to tips & tricks, there is so much information out there for you to learn from. Education with photography is SO important, but sometimes it’s a pain to find.

I’ve been to quite a few workshops, classes, bought resources online, and found some awesome content so I am going to share all the inside stuff with YOU! I want you to succeed in your new venture and want to you get all the best information that creatives/entrepreneurs can provide!

Overall, my favorite resources have come from the Youtube channels listed below, but I’ve included all resources I have personally used so you can try them out too!

WORKSHOPS/EDUCATION:

PHOTO NATIVE

I attended the remote workshop with Photo Native when they were in Palm Springs and I felt like it was the best $200 that I have ever spent (besides when I go on a random shopping spree to TJ Maxx ;). They have so many educators that have tons of experience with different types of photography and so many different views of how to approach sessions, clients, situations, workflow, editing, etc. IT. WAS. PHENOMENAL.

MARINA WILLIAMS EDUCATION

Subscriptions are awesome, especially if an educator is putting out content each week for you to learn from and can be some of the cheaper ways to learn from the professionals. Marina Williams has an amazing subscription for starting at only $10 p/month for her Made to Make memberships. She teaches everything from how to style a photo shoot, tax information, how to be professional online, and a whole lot more. Absolutely loved her subscription and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to dive into photo shoots!

YOUTUBE CHANNELS:

Youtube channels, I feel, are the cheapest and easiest way to find the ins/outs of photography tips and tricks. Here are some of my favorite photographers and creatives that have so many tutorials and informational videos to help you out!

SKILLSHARE:

Skill Share really dives in to the professional atmosphere. Starting at $15 p/month, you can get classes from your favorite professional photographers (mine are below). I would also wait until they have sales on yearly subscriptions, so it can save you a pretty penny, they have sales going on all the time. If you follow Brandon or Jessica (below) on Youtube, they often times have deals as well!
