My Photo Gear

YOU GUYS! It’s gear time!

Gear is EVERYTHING with photography and it’s also a huge investment. But if you are serious about photography, it’s so worth while to invest in the RIGHT equipment.

It’s taken me 7+ years (still investing in new gear) to have a collection to help me run my business and to be able to create exactly what I need/want to photograph. Let’s just say, it’s an on-going thing to buy camera equipment. There are always bigger and better coming out with cameras, lenses, accessories, etc. so sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. I’m here to help!

Let’s dive into all of my camera gear! I will give you links to the exact products and equipment that I love and that’s durable. LET’S PARTY!

MY FULL-FRAME CAMERA BODYS:

Canon 5D Mk IV **My #1 BOO THANG!

Canon 6D

MY LENSES:

Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART **Great for portrait photography and family photography!

Sigma 105mm 2.8 MACRO **Great for product photography and portrait shooting!

Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 **It’s great to have a zoom lens in your camera gear!

Canon EF 85mm 1.8 **For my Canon 6D when taking portraits.

Canon 24-70mm 2.8 **I would recommend getting the newer version! Great for weddings!

ACCESSORIES:

External Flash **This has worked for me for 6+ years, might be good to go with a newer version from Canon!

Tripod **Tripods are essential when taking self portraits or even your own family pictures haha!

Lights **Lighting is a MUST for weddings. I use these lights when the sun goes down, for the dancing, cake cutting, and wedding exit when it’s super dark!

Light Box **You need a Light Box when shooting product photography. Great and cheap to have on hand! This one even collapses down and can easily fit in a small space.

Camera Bag **I can’t give this camera bag enough thanks for everything it has saved my gear from (even a mountain bike accident). It is phenomenal and worth the money 10000000%!

SD Cards **Need in order to take photos! I love the PNY brand.

SD Card Case **Great for organizing your hundreds of SD Cards hahahaha. The more you shoot, the more cards you tend to have! It’s never ending!

Camera Batteries **These usually come with the camera, but I always want to have extra on hand for longer shoots and especially wedding days!

Camera Straps **These straps are so comfortable! Had for 7+ years and still love and use this same strap!

Backdrops **Great to have for product photography and portrait/studio photography.

Backdrop Stand **Need in order to hold the backdrops.

Lens Wipes **You want to have your gear in pristine condition before each shoot and these help get all the smudges off your lens.

Rain Cover**Great for when mother nature likes to show up in the middle of the shoot!

Camera Charger **Make sure to charge all batteries before your shoot!

Seagate Hard Drive **Backing up your photos is another MUST. You don’t ever want to lose your clients photos. I back up all edited photos on an online website such as smugmug.com and I also back them up on a hard drive.

Video Light **Great to attach to your camera if you don’t have a flash! Awesome for weddings.
